This album is dedicated to those who gave their trust, time, and well-wishes to a project they knew little to nothing about. When I first had the idea to crowdfund Anthem, I was hesitant to plan for a massive success. Sure, that would be incredible but probably not realistic. I told my wife I would raise as much as possible then fund the rest myself.
Thus, when Anthem was 50% funded within the first few weeks of the campaign, I knew this was something greater than I could have planned. I am fortunate to have been adopted into a massively supportive, tightly-knit group of people who all have one thing in common: the appreciation of good art and the support to see it thrive.
I have been an artist all my life, sharing my time between music, acting, and any other creative outlet I may uncover. Through the years, I've discovered 'Art' can often take a back seat in so many people's priorities, even though it is arguably the most powerful way to emotionally connect your memories to different experiences in your life. A concert can move you to tears. A TV show has the power to draw families together and bond over a common love. A painting can offer a healthy dose of perspective to a person who is feeling burdened.
All of the songs on this album come from very personal experiences in my life, each associated with strong memories. These are the anthems that help me remember the story of me.
Anthem is now yours. Once you hold this in your hands, I leave it to you to find your own stories within.
I am purposefully not printing the lyrics because I want you to listen to the whole song rather than the parts of the song. Remember the emotion rather than the performance. Connect to the flaws rather than the ideals. Make the stories yours and carry them with you.
Find your Anthem.
